Painesville, Ohio, July 12, 2023 – Subaru of America, Inc. (“SOA”) and Adventure Subaru today presented a check for $16,687 to Footprints Center for Autism, a local beneficiary in the 2022 Subaru Share the Love Event.

From mid-November through the end of the calendar year, with every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru and Adventure Subaru donated a minimum of $300 to the customer’s choice of charities.

Subaru retailers nationwide, including Adventure Subaru, selected Hometown Charities within their local communities, like Footprints Center for Autism, and these causes received $21.7 million based on customer selection.

National charity partners, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation, received nearly $7.4 million of the donations.

Following the 2022 Subaru Share the Love Event, its fifteenth year, Subaru of America announced the donations reached $256 million to national and local charities, surpassing its $250 million donation goal. The 2022 Subaru Share the Love Event culminated in a $29.1 million donation to charities, with Subaru of America donating $20.7 million and its retailers donating $8.4 million.

“At Subaru, we don’t just say we’re More Than a Car Company. Through our Subaru Share the Love Event, our family of retailers, corporate employees, and customers all come together to show the heart behind our values,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and CEO, Subaru of America, Inc. “We thank all those who took part in making the 2022 event an unprecedented success and helped bring millions of dollars to the charities that mean so much to our communities.”

About Footprints Center for Autism

Footprints Center for Autism (FCA) is a Northeast Ohio based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to our mission of providing comprehensive, collaborative, and child-centered programming for individuals with autism in a positive and non-restrictive learning environment so that each child can reach their highest potential and achieve excellence in all aspects of life. FCA provides special education, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services to children with autism in both day programming and outpatient formats.

Footprints Center for Autism recognizes that, because autism is a spectrum disorder, the most effective treatment and curriculum must be individualized to the needs of the child. Each child that attends Footprints will have a unique program built by a team of teachers, therapists, and parents that is specifically designed to meet their needs and maximize their opportunity for success. This collaborative, comprehensive, and child-centered approach to building each program is written right into the organization’s mission statement. Footprints also recognizes the vital importance of family involvement, and encourages frequent collaboration with families and caretakers to ensure consistency of intervention across all settings.
