Adventure Subaru has been an exceptional community partner for Project Hope for the Homeless, providing significant support through various initiatives. One of the most impactful contributions has been through the Subaru Loves to Help program, where Adventure Subaru has provided our guests with over 100 coats, ensuring warmth during the cold months.
In addition to this, Adventure Subaru arranged a live reveal on Fox 8 News in Cleveland, presenting a generous donation of $23,406 to Project Hope for the Homeless. This donation was raised during the Subaru Share the Love Event, and we were thrilled and deeply grateful for their support.
The dealership also serves as an official supply donation drop-off site during its operating hours, which is incredibly helpful since our shelter has limited hours to accept donations from the public. Adventure Subaru then delivers these items to our shelter, further showcasing their commitment to our cause. We truly appreciate all the support and love from Adventure Subaru.

About Project Hope for the Homeless
Established in 1993, Project Hope for the Homeless is the only emergency homeless shelter in Lake County, Ohio, offering specialized programs including adult and family shelters, an aftercare program, and senior care. Governed by the Ecumenical Shelter Network of Lake County, Project Hope for the Homeless has strong community backing with more than 100 residents and a dedicated board of trustees.
With an impressive 86% success rate, our guests break the cycle of homelessness within an average of 36 days, transitioning into their own housing or behavioral health treatment. Our staff provides compassion and respect, equipping guests with essential tools to address the root causes of their homelessness.
Programs and Services:
- Aftercare Program: Supports around 100 individuals at any time, offering regular home visits, support groups, and essential supplies to facilitate a successful transition into the community.
- Families Moving Forward: Provides shelter, meals, and comprehensive support to families, focusing on skill-building and self-sufficiency, achieving a transition rate of 83% into stable housing or treatment.
- Welcome Home Center: Opened in February 2024, this facility allows guests to select household items and furniture for free, aiding in their transition by providing dignity and a sense of home.
- Senior Care - Hope House: Offers transitional housing for seniors, providing comprehensive case management and essential services like Meals on Wheels.
- Volunteer and Donor Impact:Former guests often return as volunteers, employees, or donors, highlighting the lasting impact of our services and community involvement.
The Subaru Share the Love Event
Subaru of America and its retailers, including Adventure Subaru, hosted the 2023 Subaru Share the Love Event to support meaningful causes within our communities. Each year, Adventure Subaru selects a Hometown Charity with a personal connection to their employees or their families. This year, we were honored to partner with Project Hope for the Homeless, an organization whose mission we deeply respect and are proud to support.
Partnering with a hometown charity is crucial for Adventure Subaru as it creates a stronger impact within the community. The philanthropic spirit of our customers makes the Subaru Share the Love Event a success. Since its inception, Subaru has supported nearly 2,300 hometown charities, with over 75% of donations during this year’s event going to these local causes.
From November 16, 2023, through January 2, 2024, Subaru and its retailers donated a minimum of $300 for every new vehicle purchased or leased, and $5 for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit. Adventure Subaru believes in building lifelong relationships with their customers and community with integrity and compassion. Over the past sixteen years, the Subaru Share the Love Event has reached a total of $288 million in donations.
