Join us for the 2024 Painesville Fall Community Clean Up Day and make a difference in our community! This event is an excellent opportunity to volunteer as an individual, family, or group to help clean up litter and remove weeds from roadsides, parks, and other public areas. Whether you're passionate about keeping our city clean or simply looking for a way to give back, we would love to see you there!

How to Participate:

1. Volunteer in the Community (8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.)

Meet at Painesville Square at 8:30 a.m. to pick up your supplies, including trash bags, gloves, pickers, and a t-shirt. Donuts and coffee will also be available to help fuel your morning. Volunteers will then head to assigned areas for cleanup.

2. Clean Your Home/Yard (all day)

Show your community pride by sprucing up your own home or yard! Whether it's cleaning out your garage, tidying up your yard, or helping a neighbor in need, every little bit helps. Trash, recycling, and yard waste will be collected on your regularly scheduled pick-up day. Remember to follow specific guidelines for bulk item disposal:

  • Household furniture, mattresses, and box springs must be wrapped in plastic.
  • Carpeting should be rolled and tied into 4-foot lengths.
  • Not permitted: Large car parts, tires, batteries, and liquids.

For large appliances, like refrigerators, call 216-441-6300 to schedule a pick-up.

Volunteer Registration:

Volunteers must sign up in advance at www.painesville.com/cleanup.
