Unfortunately, millions of students across the country, especially in high-needs schools, lack the essential supplies and resources to succeed in the classroom. Shockingly, 92% of U.S. teachers have students whose families cannot afford school supplies, and teachers often spend an average of $860 out of their own pockets to provide for their students.
This is why Adventure Subaru is proud to participate in the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. Through this initiative, Subaru and its retailers are working together to support schools in need by providing flexible funding for teachers to purchase the supplies their students need most. By empowering teachers to invest in their classrooms, we help ensure students have the tools necessary to thrive.
Making an Impact in Our Community
Here at Adventure Subaru, we are thrilled to make a difference in our local community. For the third year in a row, we’ve partnered with Lake Elementary in Mentor on the Lake to adopt classrooms and provide funding that enables teachers to select the resources that will make the biggest impact. Whether it's purchasing new textbooks, art supplies, or technological equipment, we are committed to helping teachers equip their students for success.
Additionally, the teachers at Lake Elementary shared a wish list of needed supplies, and we were glad to fulfill those requests to further extend our support.
