Subaru has unveiled the next evolution of its most rugged SUV: the 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness. Built for adventure enthusiasts, the latest Forester Wilderness combines enhanced off-road capability, refined interior comfort, and cutting-edge technology. With 9.3 inches of ground clearance, an upgraded suspension system, and advanced X-MODE® for superior off-road handling, this model is designed to tackle tough terrain while delivering a smoother ride on pavement.
The 2026 Forester Wilderness is set to arrive at Subaru dealerships nationwide in fall 2025.

The 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness is powered by a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine, delivering 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque with optimized responsiveness at lower RPMs. This powertrain is paired with a revised Lineartronic® CVT featuring a shorter final drive ratio, enhancing low-speed off-road capability.
