Thank You for Supporting the Subaru Share the Love Event Blizzard Bag Food Drive!

Your participation enabled us to have food collection containers far and wide across Lake County. Thousands of food items were collected and assembled into 180 Blizzard Bags, a 2-3 day supply of shelf-stable food to be used in case of an emergency that prevents the Lake County Council on Aging (LCCoA) from delivering Meals on Wheels. This is a record number of Blizzard Bags, and for the first time, we met our goal of including a jar of peanut butter in every Blizzard Bag!

This achievement would not have been possible without your participation in this community effort to help seniors. Your support of seniors and the Subaru Share the Love Event Blizzard Bag Food Drive is deeply appreciated!

About Meals on Wheels and Subaru

Meals on Wheels operates in virtually every community in America through a network of more than 5,000 independently run local programs. Each program is committed to supporting their senior neighbors to live healthier and more nourished lives in their own homes.

Giving back has always been part of the Subaru culture. To mark its 50th year in the U.S., Subaru of America donated 50 specially wrapped 2018 Outback vehicles to Meals on Wheels programs across the country for the delivery of meals to seniors in need.

Thanks to the Subaru Share the Love® Event, Meals on Wheels has delivered more than 4.6 million meals and friendly visits to seniors facing hunger and isolation. Since 2008, Subaru and its retailers have donated an astonishing $32 million to Meals on Wheels programs.
