Thanks to WJW Fox 8 New Day Cleveland for welcoming us and giving us this moment.
Sharing the Love in a Way That Lasts
Some moments feel good in the moment – and some carry a little farther. This one, we think, does both. Through the 2024 Subaru Share the Love Event, we had the chance to do more than just pass along a check. We got to stand alongside people doing work that matters every day. And thanks to our customers, that support added up to $27,851 for Holden Forests & Gardens – a place that continues to shape how Northeast Ohio connects with nature, conservation, and one another. It’s a partnership that felt right from the start. And it’s one we’re grateful to grow.Rooted in Community, Reaching Further
Holden Forests & Gardens does more than offer a peaceful walk or a weekend outing. With over 3,500 acres of protected land, a team of scientists doing climate and forest health research, and outreach that touches 60,000 learners every year, their work is layered, lasting, and deeply local. Whether it’s a school group discovering how pollinators work, or a researcher studying how trees respond to new pests, Holden is helping people understand the world around them – and how to care for it. That kind of work doesn’t always make the headlines, but it quietly shapes a stronger future for all of us.The Donation – and the People Behind It
The check itself was a surprise. But what it represents isn’t. This donation came from real people – every customer who leased or purchased a Subaru during the 2024 Share the Love Event. Subaru of America pledged $250 per vehicle, and Adventure Subaru added $75 more for each one. And every bit of it is now going to support Holden’s mission. On air with Fox 8’s New Day Cleveland, our own Rob Lane joined Holden’s President & CEO Ed Moydell to share the total. The cameras captured the number, but it was the shared respect and mutual appreciation that gave it weight. This gift may be going to Holden Forests & Gardens – but it reflects the care of an entire community. Why Holden? Why This Partnership?
Subaru has long believed in giving back where we live and work. And at Adventure Subaru, we take that to heart. We look for local organizations who share that steady sense of purpose – the ones doing good work not just once, but every day. Holden Forests & Gardens stood out immediately. Their focus on conservation, education, and community involvement mirrors everything we value. It’s not just about protecting plants or preserving land – it’s about nurturing the relationships between people and the world around them. That’s the kind of connection we believe in. And that’s the kind of work we want to support.A Few Details About the Event Itself
The Subaru Share the Love Event ran from November 21, 2024, to January 2, 2025. Customers could choose where Subaru’s donation would go, including several national charities. But our hometown focus was clear: every local sale also meant support for Holden. This kind of giving only works because people show up. And they did – again and again. What This Helps Make Possible
Here’s what Holden will keep doing with the help of this donation:- Support for forest health research led by more than 40 scientists focused on climate change, pests, and resilience.
- Educational outreach to 60,000+ people of all ages, including school programs, internships, and adult learning.
- The care and growth of the Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Holden Arboretum, offering immersive nature experiences across generations.
In Quiet Thanks
To everyone who chose to purchase or lease a Subaru this past season: thank you. Not for a transaction, but for the trust behind it. You made this donation possible. You helped bring new energy to a local organization doing lifelong work. And together, we’ve shared something that will keep giving back – quietly, steadily, meaningfully. We’re honored to be part of that.Melody Jacobson, Community Coordinator
