Every pet deserves the love of a safe, happy home, and this October we are teaming up with Community Cats to help more cats and kittens in Lake County find theirs. Subaru celebrates Subaru Loves Pets every October, when retailers partner with local animal organizations through grants administered by the ASPCA to support adoption and care.
Subaru and our retailers believe all pets deserve loving homes. The ASPCA reports that 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2024, which is why Subaru continues to invest in adoption, rescue, transport, and animal health nationwide.

Helping The Ones Who Need It Most
Subaru puts a special spotlight on pets who are often overlooked, like older or disabled animals, lovingly called the “Underdogs.” Adopting or fostering an Underdog makes an incredible difference, and it changes two lives at once, yours and theirs.
National Make A Dog’s Day, October 22
On October 22, Subaru celebrates the 7th annual National Make A Dog’s Day. Do something special for your pet, consider adopting or fostering, or help spread the word so more shelter pets can find loving homes.
Subaru + ASPCA, A National Partnership
Subaru’s commitment is national in scope and local in impact. Subaru retailers across the country provide direct financial assistance to shelters through ASPCA administered grants that help cover adoption prep and veterinary expenses. In recent campaigns, Subaru and participating retailers provided more than $3 million to shelters nationwide, and the October adoption campaign helped over 52,000 pets find loving homes.
During Subaru Loves Pets month, Subaru also contributes $20 to the ASPCA for each purchase of select Subaru Pet Friendly Accessories at participating retailers, which adds another way for pet lovers to help animals in need.
